I made a decision this morning and I feel so much better!

Actually, it’s more accurate to say that I acted on my decision. I’ve known for about a week that I was going to do the thing. I just wasn’t completely convinced it was a good idea.

In all honesty, I’m still not convinced…

I went back and forth on this decision. Like I said, I decided to do it a week ago, but then, when I was driving, I waffled and said, “maybe I shouldn’t do it.” Then, when I was trying to go to sleep, I told myself, “I’m all in. I’m going for it - tomorrow.” Then, my coffee didn’t taste quite right and I thought, “this is a sign. Definitely NOT going to do it…”

That’s been going on for a week! EVEN THOUGH, I decided to do it and KNEW I WAS GOING TO DO IT at that time!

So I went for it this morning. And it’s a load off my mind.

Decisions can weigh you down, but they don’t have to. They can be exhausting when you don’t make them. There is an actual phenomenon called “Decision Fatigue” which is what I was going through. This whole thing was tiring me out to the point that I was losing sleep.

But it’s done. I’m ready to reap the rewards or to recover if it turns out to be…

Well - if it doesn’t turn out.

If you have decision fatigue from not making a decision or making it and unmaking it, I encourage you to decide and then to move on. You just have to trust that you’ve made the right decision.

You’ll feel a whole lot better. And you’ll probably sleep better too!
